California Media Literacy Coalition
We, the Media Literacy Coalition, have changed our name slightly to the California Media Literacy Coalition . This reflects our statewide focus, though we still collaborate with partners nationwide. Several organizations provide resources for Media Literacy. One that is particularly helpful, Media Literacy Now, clarifies " What's in a name: Defining media literacy " and " AI literacy and media literacy: you can't have one without the other . "High school student advocates for digital wellness education" in EdSource
Check out this commentary in EdSource " Digital wellness should be a required topic in California schools " by Elise Choi , a student at the Orange County School of the Arts and policy director for GENup , a youth-led education advocacy organization. In addition to conducting a California media literacy study with the Media Education Lab , she is working with a coalition of advocates and educators to advance digital wellness legislation in California this year.
